Last February I moved to St Anton in Arlberg for for a week of deep powder and off piste skiing  with Rich and his friends from Tiburon, California. I’ve been skiing around the Arlberg for quite a bit now that I can say I know the area between St Anton, Zurs and Lech pretty well, thanks to Kai also, a good friend who lives right in St Anton. This time it was a pleasure to have him skiing with us for most of the week, so we had a chance to ski something new for everybody as well. Thanks to a phenomenal winter season, the steep and narrow couloir the goes underneath the Flexen Pass tunnel was well filled of snow and that was also “a first” for Kai.
In the end we skied all week on great powder snow, using the lifts and the skins too. Our base camp at Pettneu proved to be a strategic spot, every day we were free to move around based on the weather and our plans.
Below you have a gallery with the most beautiful shots, from the classic Valluga, the beautiful ski touring to the Schafberg (without using the chopper of course), the Arlberger Klettersteig (the winter via ferrata up on Rendl) and many other great runs between Stuben, Zurs and Lech. Enjoy!
