I always forget that before guiding I earned a degree in Economics in Venice\u2026but that’s what I call my “early age”. Anyway, I ended up pursing my big passion for the mountains, for climbing and skiing, in 2008 I became a certified Mountain Guide, and now I can proudly say I live this passion 365 days a year and I’ve made the guiding a full time job. Honestly, I don’t know if I could survive\u00a0without it and I can’t see myself doing\u00a0anything else for a living.
\nI’m based near Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites, mostly all year round, I’ve got two daughters just hitting their teens, and every now and then I manage to drag them out climbing with me \u2014 it’s my way of sharing this big passion of mine.\u00a0 <\/span>Eager for new adventures I’ve guided my clients around the big and most famous mountains all around the Alps as well, on skis or just climbing them during the summer.
\nPhotography is another big passion I’ve got by my father, if I don’t have a camera aound my neck I feel naked.
\nAs most of the people from my generation, I’m addicted to social media and I’ve got my phone in the hands a lot, ready to share moments I live in the mountains through a picture.
\nMy english is fluent and I also speak French.<\/p>\n

I’m in the guides team of Guide Alpine Cortina360<\/a>, in the Dolomites I’ve guided trips, both in the summer and winter for Dolomite Mountains<\/a>, Holimites<\/a>, Mountain Travel Sobek<\/a>\u00a0,\u00a0Ski Safari 9 Vall\u00e9es<\/a>\u00a0and The Ski Club of Great Britain<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>. I’ve also worked in partnership with Mont Blanc Guides<\/a>, High Mountain Guides<\/a> and ISM<\/a>, guiding for all their courses on the big peaks of the Alps (Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Eiger etc.)It’s been also because of them that my experience as an alpinist and a Guide has increased a lot during the last decade.<\/p>\n

IFMGA certification is the highest mountain guide qualification in the world. The training and examination process takes around 4 years,\u00a0it takes dedication, lots of training and big committment as you’re gonna be tested in all the different activities: Rock & Ice Climbing, Mountaineering and Ski Mountaineering.<\/p>\n

Whenever you’re hiring a Guide, be sure he\/she is certified by IFMGA and be sure of the legality of his\/her\u00a0commercial operations. \u00a0Ask for his\/her Guide badge, there must be the IFMGA logo displayed and a IFMGA sticker\u00a0with\u00a0the current year on the back side. Lifts companies always ask for the Guide ID card and they flip the badge over to check the sticker whenever Guides ask for discounts or free rides.<\/p>\n
